Endodontic Treatment
It is a treatment performed as a result of caries occurring in the teeth progressing and reaching the canal containing veins and nerves called the pulp of the tooth. This treatment, called root canal treatment, involves removing vascular and nerve tissue, disinfecting the canal with certain solutions, and filling the canal with special materials.
Although the patient has previously undergone root canal treatment, in cases where healing cannot be achieved due to insufficient treatment, instead of immediately extracting a tooth, the process of renewing root canal treatment is attempted to keep the relevant tooth in the mouth.
Although root canal treatment is sufficient, in cases where healing due to the structure of the tooth cannot be achieved, the tooth is given another chance with root tip surgery (resection).
In cases where the caries tissue in the tooth has just reached the pulp, if the case is appropriate, it may be possible to keep the tooth alive with a treatment called amputation before root canal treatment.
If the material loss is excessive in the teeth that have undergone root canal treatment; in order to create a space where the filling can be held, fiber pelts can be placed inside the canal before the teeth are coated and the strength of the tooth can be increased by this method.
In teeth that have been traumatized, the vitality monitoring of the tooth is very important. Dental traumas, especially in childhood, can lead to permanent damage to permanent teeth. For this reason, these teeth should be examined without wasting time and regularly monitored. It is very important to intervene in the tooth at the right time when it is deemed necessary.
